About Luisa Vietti

Luisa Vietti is both an artist and a pharmacist. She graduated in Pharmacy, studied at the Artistic High School and graduated from the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts in Turin, Italy.

Luisa has always been painting, since she was a child. "I think there's always something to learn and my style continued evolving while I was growing up. I started with ceramics, then I made b&w engravings, and finally rough canvas. From the figurative art, I now make modern / abstract / informal art. My main source of inspirations is nature, animals, flowers. From the past, I like artists such as Van Gogh and Pollock."

Luisa Vietti participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions.

She was selected to participate in the International biennial of painting Premio Felice Casorati, 2008.

She participated in the International exhibition of Contemporary Art at Palazzo Zenobio in Venice, 3-31 October 2015.

She was included in the catalog of Artistivì The Talk Show 2016.

Luisa Vietti participated with the critic and curator Sabrina Falzone at the exhibition of Berlin and at the Munich International Contemporary Art Fair, August 2020.

Art critics Giovanna Arancio, Sabrina Falzone, Adelinda Allegretti and Federico Caloi wrote about her.

A key characteristic of Luisa Vietti is that she's an artist with an ecological approach, she likes to give a new life and purpose to old things, without any waste. She uses old rough canvas, often off-white fabrics, sometimes with visibile previous stitches. She also uses ecological tempera, diluted in water, without smelly and dangerous solvents.
Her technique has no initial drawing on the canvas: from the stains of color that she throws on the canvas a sketch comes to life and to her eyes, and she draws it. Luisa paints on the ground, she likes it more, then for the last touch ups she puts the painting on the easel.
